What is the battery used for? (RMC)
The battery powers the preamp for the piezo pickup when the guitar is not being powered by the 13 pin cable.
When you are using a 13 pin cable, the active electronics for the piezo pickups and
13 pin electronics are powered by your synth unit ( Roland, Axon )
Simply use a standard 9 Volt battery ( inside electronics compartment on older models)
NOTE: The battery is activated when you plug the guitar cord into the guitar. Like any other guitar with a battery, it is recommended that you unplug the guitar cord to preserve battery life when the guitar is not is use.
What is the battery for used? (Graphtech)
On guitars equipped a Graphtech Ghost piezo or 13 pin system, the battery is used for both the magnetic and piezo pickups. Even if you have passive pickups, they are still routed through the Ghost system.
The battery powers the preamp for the piezo pickup when the guitar is not being powered by the 13 pin cable.
When you are using a 13 pin cable, the active electronics for the piezo pickups and
13 pin electronics are powered by your synth unit ( Roland, Axon )
NOTE: The battery is activated when you plug the guitar cord into the guitar. Like any other guitar with a battery, it is recommended that you unplug the guitar cord to preserve battery life when the guitar is not is use.
Do I need a Y Cable for my guitar?
Yes. On Brian Moore and iGuitar models are equipped with an
RMC Piezo/13pin system, a stereo Y cable is needed so you can send your magnetic guitar pickups to your guitar amp and send the piezo acoustic output to a PA, acoustic amp so it can bring out the harmonic rich, natural acoustic sound.
If your guitar has a Graphtech Ghost system, it features a ‘smart output jack’ and senses if a mono or stereo cable is plugged in. If you use a mono cable it will route both the magnetic and piezo single on the single mono cable.
If you use a stereo cable it will split the magnetic and piezo so you can send your magnetic guitar pickups to your guitar amp and send the piezo acoustic output to a PA, acoustic amp so it can bring out the harmonic rich, natural acoustic sound.
Do you sell a Y Cable?
Yes, we sell a 1/4" Stereo Y cable that works with all Brian Moore, iGuitar, iAcoustic and
This is a 15 foot, professional low noise instrument cable.
You can purchase a Y Cable on our accessories page click here
What model do I have?
In order to give you accurate information about your guitar, please contact us via email at support@iguitarworkshop.com
1) picture of the full front of the guitar
2) back of the guitar
3) back of headstock close up to show serial number.
We require pictures for identification because sometimes guitars are modified after they have been sold.
You can also visit our page of discontinued models page which may have the information you need.
What size truss rod tool size do I need for my guitar?
Please note that we suggest that truss rod adjustments should be done by a certified guitar technician or experienced luthier.
We use a 'stub' allen wrench, meaning it shortened to work with our truss rod access design.
The Custom Shop has used various sizes over the years
C-90 and C-55 models use 3/16", 3.5mm or 3mm.
MC1 models are 1/8”.
We suggest you have your local guitar tech measure to be sure and we would be happy
to send you the correct size, once it is confirmed.
Most hardware stores sell these allen keys and can shorten them to fit.
Our i2000 Series and iGuitar models and basses use 4mm.
Our i1000 Series and iGuitar models use 5mm.
What is the difference between the i1000/iGuitar and i2000/iGuitar models?
All of our i2000 Series feature Duncan Pickups ( Alnico II and JB ), Sperzel locking tuning machines.
Our i1000 Series feature our stock Alinico III pickups, standard tuning machines with our 'iM' logo
They both have the same RMC Piezo / 13pin system.
They both feature our patented iGuitar built-in USB audio system.
Both can also be upgraded with the Graphtech Ghost system.
What is the difference between the RMC piezo/13 pin and Graphtech Ghost piezo/13 pin system?
RMC Piezo/13pin system, requires a 1/4” stereo Y cable so you can send your magnetic guitar pickups to your guitar amp and send the piezo acoustic output to a PA, acoustic amp so it can bring out the harmonic rich, natural acoustic sound.
RMC sends the magnetic signal down the 13 pin cable but does not send the piezo signal down the 13 pin cable.
Do you sell the 13 pin cable?
The 13 pin cable is included with your synth unit from Roland or Axon.
We do not sell the 13 pin cable.
Roland sells it in their online store

How can I learn more about Artist Endorsements?
Companies are always looking to work with artists that understand the mutual benefits of an endorsement for both the artist and the company. We are very interested in learning how your potential endorsement could promote our company and of course the sales of our instruments. Many of our endorsing artists began in the role of "Artist/Ambassador", by simply showing us the influence they have on the sales of our guitars.
This has developed into a solid endorsement cooperation over many years. We have also helped many of these artists develop other endorsements within the music industry, benefiting their music career even further and we invite you to do the same.
Now that we sell factory direct, we see directly the impact that endorsers have on the sales of our guitars and they are rewarded in direct proportion for the
effectiveness of their work with our instruments.
Our program is simple, after you purchase your guitar, we offer a cash bonus paid directly to you when of one of your email referrals results in the sale of one of our guitars. It is $100 for custom shop guitars and $50 for all other instruments. There is no limit to what you can earn as an active endorser, just keep an email trail to verify the referrals.
It is important that your endorsement can demonstrate that you can help the promotion sales of our guitars.
In today's online environment, many of our artists are very smart about promotion and use their social networks such as MySpace, Facebook, Twitter and even their own YouTube channel, to promote their music and they have also used these networks to spread the word about our guitars, building their endorsement status.
If you are interested in our endorsement program and already have one of our guitars, please begin by sending email referrals to sales@iguitarworkshop.com.
If you are interested in our endorsement program and would like to purchase a guitar, please contact us at to sales@iguitarworkshop.com.
Thank you for your interest in our endorsement program.
